Twin Cities, Minnesota:

Welcome to the North Star State and home base of BigBoyTravel – the Twin Cities Minnesota!   Made up of the Minneapolis and Saint Paul metros, the Twin Cities offer one of the most diverse collections of things to do in the United States.

Overview of the Twin Cities:

When you think of Minnesota you may only think of snow and cold activities, but the Twin Cities have amazing things to do year round.  Known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, you can imagine a lot of these activities center on the water, and you’re right.  There are hundreds of lakes throughout the Twin Cities offering beaches, boating, waterside dining, and drinking plus over 52 miles of trails for biking or jogging.  In addition to the lakes explore the Mississippi River on a historic boat cruise, stroll down one of the riverside boardwalks, or check out any of the awesome urban waterfalls.  Minnehaha Falls is considered the best urban waterfall in the entire country.

The best part about the natural elements of the Twin Cities is that they are woven within minutes of almost every area of Minneapolis and St Paul.  This means whether you are checking out the theater, a concert, one of the numerous professional sports teams, gourmet dining, or friendly drinking on a rooftop bar you’re always close to a park or some water.

Maybe our favorite feature of the Twin Cities is that Minnesota is a rare place in the United State that truly gets 4 full seasons throughout the year.  You can get a real Winter for skiing and the Holidays, an amazing Spring as all the vegetation comes to life, a warm Summer with plenty of outdoor activities, and one of the best Falls in the country with an explosion of colorful Autumn leaves.  Did we mention the year-round festivals and events?
Yes the Minneapolis and St Paul may have sky scrappers and huge companies like 3M, General Mills, Target, and Best Buy are based here, but they feel like much more than other generic big cities; they have a special draw.  It’s the draw of the Twin Cities that people like Bob Dylan, the musician Prince, author F. Scott Fitzgerald, cartoonist Charles Schultz, and even Stifler from American Pie are all from the area and this draw is bound to make you enjoy your visit.
